  We've been eating here on vacation for years. We found that this year the quality of food and service has really gone downhill. We had over a two hour wait for food. When we received it, three orders were wrong (we had a large party). The server also didn't refill drinks, messed up checks, etc. We were never greeted by a manager or asked about our experience. We will probably avoid this restaurant next year. It makes more sense to take our money to another restaurant that cares about customer service and the quality of the food that they serve.

  This review is very late-- we went last July!-- but our experience at the Sandbar is something I'll think about for awhile. I'm going to go backwards here and start with the dessert:
  GET THE KEY LIME PIE.
  I have dreams about this pie-- it is seriously the best I've had in Florida. If you get nothing else at this restaurant, get that pie and you will not be disappointed.
  The rest of the food was spectacular as well. I had the softshell crab sandwich and my husband had the grouper sandwich. Both were just incredible (and my husband's reaction to me eating a whole crab- legs and all served open faced on a bun was priceless!)
  We also had the shrimp-n-grits appetizer, which was very good and my husband got the cheesecake for dessert. It was an excellent cheesecake (but he should have got the pie!).
  I cannot wait to get back!

  Chef Aaron engaged us in a delightful conversation then shared a special appetizer of his creation with us. A fantastic palatial experience! Great food, beautiful view, happy service. Strongly recommended. Not cheap bit a good value.

  We went here for dinner and a couple drinks. Josh was probably the best waiter we've ever had and the food and drinks were fantastic. We'll definitely be back. 5 star service for sure. Thanks Josh
